Can I keep AI work on my Mac?

Supported work can use an installed local model, keeping that model processing on the device. This gives you another way to handle selected material.

• Choose the local route and check readiness before sending. The proposed Free plan includes 20 local calls per day and 100 per week; paid plans have no daily or weekly local request quota. Available tasks still depend on your model and Mac.
• A local session can work with supported selected text while an online research task needs a separate network-capable workflow.
• You choose whether to use local or cloud processing; local limitations do not silently authorize cloud sharing.
• Local AI remains in development. Model downloads, final hardware support and consistent performance are not yet qualified for public release.
